Day 331 – A Different Direction

Today I started my solo performance class and I read two and half pages of a story I have brewing in my head, and of course my teacher spun me in a different direction after all was said and done.

That’s what he does. That’s why he gets paid. Fortunately, it almost always works on me– I get inspired, I get new ideas. I love writing. Writing is life. And while I was in the middle of my zoom class, another script workshop friend of mine messaged me about my other story. I love collaboration. I could never work alone.

My class wrapped up at 3:30pm exactly so I turned on the Super Bowl just in time for the kick off. I had high hopes for Kansas City- that they would take Tom Brady down, but it was for naught. Oh well, at least some of the commercials were entertaining.

So this is how I watch football: Turn TV on, mute it, take first load of laundry to laundry room, look at the game’s score (still on mute), wash dishes, check game again, surprised KC is running behind, put laundry in dryer, get more irritated that KC is even further behind, put second load in washer, leave apartment during half-time to drive up hill and take sunset pictures, come back and get annoyed that KC is still behind, finish laundry, change channel, watch different program, check final score online. The end.

And that’s a wrap on Sunday. Good night.
