We were celebrating the February birthdays at Peets Coffee in Berkeley. Look at us, mask-free, without a care in the world. Little did we know…..
We are coming up on the one year anniversary of the shelter in place order and soon I will be seeing posts from the beginning of the pandemic. Back then, I thought for sure the world would be open again by May, in time for my sister’s birthday. None of us thought it would be this long.
I was able to enjoy my morning walk again today without the rain. I know we need the rain, but in a perfect world, I wish it only rained at night, while I slept. Then have blue skies and fresh air when I wake.
I worked from home today and made some major headway on a project that has been on the back burner. It feels good to finally deal with unfinished business. Then I sought higher grounds for tonight’s sunset.
