Today I got feedback on two stories I am currently writing. Both feedback sessions were done on video and I don’t know why I find it all so draining. I long for the day to hear someone’s voice in person. I just feel like I am in a relationship with a computer most days.
By 3:30pm, I turned off my computer, straightened my curly hair, and then went to a friend’s for dinner. Tonight we had fish. Ah, real food. So much better than my usual “Lean Cuisine”.
Not too shabby. Thank God for friends who cook.
Then we played a card game called “Rat -A-Tat-Cat” and it reminded me of how shoddy my memory has gotten in recent years. Quite humbling.
Tonight’s sunset was what I call “polite”. It wasn’t a show off or anything, it was more like “Hello, nice to see you, okay, bye bye.”
But most importantly, in pandemic news, my parents both got their first vaccine shot yesterday. Life is slowly getting closer to normal, one day at a time.
