Today was fierce. After my morning walk, I did some rewrites on one of my scripts, which took the bulk of the afternoon. Then I headed off to Joaquin Miller Park to get back on the Sequoia Bayview Trail, which is a favorite of mine:
I don’t walk it that much because the trail head parking is troublesome- meaning I have to park on the street where there can be multiple break ins. So I have to “hike in” from another trail that has better parking, but it makes the hike longer.
I always try to end my walks around sunset so I can get a picture, but this trail is mostly under trees so I figured I would have to give up my sunset pic today, but then I found a short cut that leads to the Look Out Point:

I had never taken this trail before but what did I have to lose? With 20 minutes until sunset, I went for it and it wasn’t too long before I was back on the Sunset Trail:
When I got home I noticed I had clocked in over 22,000 steps. I am exhausted! I hope I sleep like a baby tonight.
