Today just flew by. I went on my morning walk, had my solo performance class, cleaned the apartment, watched the Golden Globes, and now American Idol is on and making me cry. There is so much talent on that show. Darn you American Idol.
I have to say that the Golden Globes were better than I thought they would be. I didn’t think I would be into it at all, but I watched 90 percent of it. If anything, it let me know what movies/tv shows to look for– and since I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, I have a streaming access code for a lot of these movies already (because they were also nominated for a SAG award and I can vote for those). I guess I better get caught up on my pop culture!
Today is also my parents’ 57th wedding anniversary:

When I was a little girl I used to love looking at my parent’s wedding album. I loved my mom’s dress. When I got older, I noticed that so many girls were wearing strapless dresses for their weddings but that always seemed weird to me (and frankly looked uncomfortable). I didn’t understand what they had against sleeves? If I ever get married, I would love to recreate something like my mom’s dress. And if that’s not possible, then screw it, a tee length dress will do, because I can’t be bothered! Happy Anniversary mom and dad. 🙂
